Some of the Juiciest brisket I’ve ever had! Came here with my wife walking around downtown. We shared the half pound of brisket and it was so juicy. I wanted to order more brisket. But I had ordered other food ! My wife got the fried chicken sandwich and she loved it ! I got the burnt ends with their home made Mac n cheese sauce and coleslaw and it was insane ! Favorite thing on the menu was the burnt ends ! We shared the corn break and brisket chilli with chunks of brisket inside ! Definitely coming back here !

Great BBQ! We tried the burnt ends and the brisket. Both were delicious! The bean crack was some of the best baked beans I've ever had! The service wasn't very good when we were there, but it could have just been an off night. Overall it was a great experience! Highly recommend

We arrived closer to the end of the night, seated was quickly. Took our drink & meal order at the same time, which was pretty quick, due the waitress helping us with the menu. * Lemonade was really good because it wasn’t too sweet & tasted like it was freshly squeezed. * Had a few craft sodas from the San diego soda company, we tried the “ Diet cola-fornia “ lighter version of diet coke.. it was refreshing, it wasn’t as heavily carbonated as diet coke. The high light of the sodas was the pomegranate soda , it had great flavor and was refreshing. *We got the “Table feast bbq platter “.. unfortunately they were out of Hot links which were part of the platter. We got a 8 up charge for smoked wings due the outage of hot links. But the wings were Amazing. * The platter consisted of: 1lb brisket, 1lb pulled pork, & the 12 smoked Cajun wings that we were upcharged for. Came with 2 sides of mac n cheese, 2 sides of bbq beans, 2 sides of collard greens. 6 slices of white bread. We added 2 orders of cornbread. * Brisket was very tender perfect ratio between meat n fat. * Pulled pork was juicy & flavorful, * Smoked wings had a crispy exterior, juicy meat & a very good smoked flavor. *Cornbread was moist & very well complimented with the honey butter. * The mac & cheese was lacking flavor (our personal taste) but still good. *Collard greens were decent would have used a lil more seasoning. *Bbq baked beans were yummy, not overpowered with bbq sauce. *Their Bbq sauce was delicious our favorite was the spicy bbq option. *We concluded our dinner with a warm cherry cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. The ice cream was super creamy and complimented the warm cobbler. The cherry flavorful & was perfectly balanced. wasn’t too sweet. We appreciated Zack coming over being so attentive and educating us about their food quality & their efforts to keep most of their products local. He was welcoming, so as the other staff. We will definitely be back! Super recommended! & happy with our choice that satisfied our party of 6. Family friendly, welcoming atmosphere, good , good vibes, clean establishment. Close to parking (not free). Bill Total with 20% tip: 262.

Brisket was juicy and fall off the bone and was close to melting in your mouth and definitely one of the best I have ever had. Food was not burning hot and served warm instead, which is disappointing. We got the 3x2 and replaced Mac and cheese with collard greens and that was the right way to go because my coworker kept the standard 3x2 and hated the Mac and cheese. This was a lot of food. TV dinner with brisket chili and bean and an extra order of corn bread was smaller portions but those were apparently amazing. The corn bread was warm, juicy, and soft and must try and one of the best I have ever had. Sausage link was huge and delicious and juicy and one of the best I have ever had. Pulled pork was horrible and cold, dry and bland. My coworkers both ate it but they doused it in BBQ sauce. I wonder if they can substitute something else for it and I will try to swap out the pulled pork to something else. Definitely need to work on it. It seems like all the great reviews were about the brisket.

We ordered the BBQ platter and it definitely hit the spot. The brisket was packed with flavor, and the pulled pork was absolutely delicious—especially with the custom vinegar sauce they tailored just for it. Their aioli was a standout as well—rich and delicious without being overpowering. The coleslaw was refreshing and balanced, the baked beans were flavorful and not overly dense, and the mac and cheese brought creamy comfort with great taste. Even the sides—pickled onions and bread—were on point. Big shoutout to Berks for the excellent hospitality and helpful service. Great BBQ, great experience. We’ll definitely be back. Berks you are perfect!

Great place! Went for lunch and staff was super friendly, food was great and vibes we good! Brisket on the drier side (the way I like), but definitely juicy and tasty. Spicy sauce also good. House beer was also great. Can’t go wrong with this place. Fair priced for location and well organized

This place is legit. The staff was awesome , the food was exceptional. The burnt ends were meat candy , but not overly sweet for my taste buds. It was spicy but playful and some sweet and the texture was absolutely perfect. I was SO good I went back the next day to get the sandwich cause my co workers were going on and on about it. It was equally good , they did not get stingy with the meat. They gave it to you like you were paying for it. Had to unlock my jaw. Kay, the server was on point. The music was the cherry on top and just added to the experience of great food and service. Stop reading the review and just come down. I usually visit Texas for great barbecue but I’m glad I found a good place in Southern California.

It's definitely one of the best BBQ spots you will find in the downtown area! The food here was all extremely delicious paired with sides that could hold their own. We came here 45 minutes before closing, and the staff were extremely accommodating for us walking in at the last minute. They also have a nice selection along with some in-house draft beers, which are always nice to add to the experience of having something new. The only 2 complaints I have are adding some flexibility on shareable dishes (only offering certain meats and usually not the ones you want), and the overall vibe of the space. The restaurant is a very open open building with an industrial interior, but for me it just lacked some character that makes you feel like you're in a BBQ/smokehouse type of restaurant (of course this is a personal opinion). This is the place to go if you're craving BBQ, and it is definitely worth a drive to visit.
